Benediction

The word, benediction, means "good word." After each worship service, we send each other out with these "good words":

Wherever you go, God is sending you, wherever you are, God has put you there;
He has a purpose in your being there.
Christ who indwells you has something He wants to do through you, where you are.
Believe this and go in His grace and love and power.

These words were penned by Richard Halverson, former Chaplain of the US Congress, but we have adopted them as our own. They remind us that God is not just present and active when we are the church gathered. He is just as much present with you and at work in and through in when you are at home, at work or in your neighborhood. This knowledge empowers us to live our lives by his grace in his love and full of his power.
